Cookie?

Most meal times are started off with the same request..."Cookie?" Meaning that Ella would prefer to eat a cookie for the meal at hand. Outside of the fact that this, more than anything, makes her MY daughter, her sugary frenzy is not beneficial to her eating habits. Basically, if its not sweet and carb laden, Ella would just assume not eat it. Anything other than granola, raisins, yogurt, COOKIES, etc takes a bit of coaxing.

This morning, after her breakfast, she walked in to her room and selected this book from the shelf:

She immediately starting pawing at the cookies on the cover going "Ahhhh, Cookie!" in sad and forlorn voice. Then, holding the book up to me, she'd say "Mama? Cookie?", as if to say "If a little mouse gets a cookie, why can't I?"

Since the discovery of this book, she has carried it all about the house with her, and is currently laying in the middle of the floor (using a hard back copy of "Henry Bear's Park" as her pillow)rambling on like she's reading the book in Chinese, with an occasional, "Ahhh Cookie!", being discernable.
