Ella's dad spent his senior year of college and the two years following, sleeping on nothing but a mattress on the floor. But after just a few nights of the same conditions, Ella informed us that she was worthy of something a bit more refined, and her Grandma Jan came through with the toddler bed that she's been saving for an occasion such as this. Her dad was gleeful when he realized that, for the first time, he could read her a bedtime story in an actual bed. But judging by the looks of the two of them squeezed in there, he might have to wait until we upgrade her to a regular bed before it becomes a nightly routine.
