Ella spent a good part of the afternoon setting up a "Beach Party" in the backyard for after dinner. There was croquet, ring toss, basketball, baseball, soccer, and, of course, swimming. She even had her dad pipe in some Beach Boys music. The highlight of the evening was when her dad heard the ice cream truck down the street, and raced both girls down the block to meet it. (Half the neighbors on the block had beat them to it.) It was hard to tell who was more excited -- the girls or Pat!
