On Thursday night she wasn't ready to hold her own sparkler. On Friday night, she said she wanted to do it herself. And she did, sometimes two at a time, dancing around, and spelling her name in the air. When I asked her why she had changed her mind overnight, she replied "Well, I just forgot that I was 4 years old now. Last night I thought I was still 3. 4 year olds can hold their own sparklers."
