Ella has been asking to go to a football game for a couple of years now, but, when you push her to explain why, the answer usually starts with "Nachos and pretzels and..." So when she got an invitation from Grandpa Marlin to attend the Colt's preseason game last night, I knew it was the perfect opportunity. He loves snacks as much as she does and also has the attention span of a 5 year old, so they'd both be ready to leave the game about the same time. ha!
Abby went as well, and, based on Ella's report this morning, it sounds like they both had a good time. Ella was excited to have an excuse to wear the Colt's cheerleader outfit she got last year from Grandma June, but informed me this morning that, next time, she'd rather wear something cool -- like Abby's pink Colts jersey. According to Ella, anything Abby does is cool!
Editorial Update: Grandpa Marlin has since sent his rebuttal to the previous comment about his attention span, defending that his attention span is at least double if not triple that of a 5 year old. Making it at least 15 minutes. He also added this picture to the game night collection.
