Ella-isms

One of the many benefits of working where your child attends school is getting to hear funny stories about them from your co-workers. Today the aide from Ella's class stopped me to tell me, as she said, "another Ella-ism"...

With her small group, Mrs. Morris was discussing the difference between a proper noun and a regular noun. She gave the example of "shoe" and "Nike", then asked the group if anyone else had an example. Apparently Ella's hand went straight in the air and she offered "Pack n' Play or Car Seat" and "Graco". Graco! No wonder Conrad goes running to her first when he gets hurt -- she might be more of a mother than I could ever hope to be. :)

In unrelated news, our very affectionate son, who hugs just about anyone, definitely wrapped his arms around the legs of the county sheriff today when the man offered "Well, that's a good lookin' boy" as the two of them swapped places at the barber shop. I guess even at age 2, Conrad knows its potentially beneficial to be in the good graces of the law.
