Summer Has Arrived

With a new house to work on this summer, most of our spare minutes are spoken for. Conrad is a pretty good outdoor helper, assuming there is some sort of "power tool" involved. He's the number one stick collector -- driving around the yard with his Gator, filling the bed, then dumping them in the fire pit. He also loves the battery powered blower, running the battery down almost daily cleaning up our long driveway.

Of course, its not all work and no play. We've already hit the spray park, and I am pretty sure Ella's list of things to do this summer will keep us busy until school starts and then some.

Also, there's this...

Meet "Butterscotch" -- our newest adoptee from the Alyea Farms, an early birthday surprise for Ella. This one came from Uncle Jon's farm, so she's likely not related to Ruby, our other cat who came from Grandma June's farm, but she's just as friendly as Ruby. When Conrad heard that she came from Uncle Jon's farm, the first thing he wanted to know is if this kitten rides Uncle Jon's tractors -- which is what Conrad loves most when he visits.
