There are pros and cons to living amongst corn fields. The occasional mouse...con! Grocery store twice as far away as it used to be...con! Tractors driving by on a daily basis...BIG PRO for Conrad. He often sprints down to the end of the driveway when he hears them passing by. The farmers are always good to wave and smile as they pass, and Conrad often yells, "Hi Uncle Jon!" -- assuming that all men who drive tractors are Grandma Jan's twin brother, Jon, who Conrad has gotten to ride tractors with in the past. The day they harvested the field across the street, he spent a good portion of the day camped out in the driveway, just watching the combine.
Another pro to the harvest -- seeing the whole sunset again.
